Early childhood staff Cheryl Green, assistant coordinator and Karen Garner, local leads captain, met with the State Department of Education to review data on the correlation between various preschool assessment tools. The discussion aimed to better understand how these tools align and support whole-child development. As part of the initiative, staff received social-emotional literacy kits to help ensure that pre-K students’ hierarchy of needs are met, supporting both their academic and emotional growth.
