Participants used Webb's Depth of Knowledge framework and AI tools to develop DOK-aligned questions, unpack standards, and create actionable learning targets, ultimately enhancing instructional rigor and promoting deeper student understanding.

Early childhood staff Cheryl Green, assistant coordinator and Karen Garner, local leads captain, met with the State Department of Education to review data on the correlation between various preschool assessment tools. The discussion aimed to better understand how these tools align and support whole-child development. As part of the initiative, staff received social-emotional literacy kits to help ensure that pre-K students’ hierarchy of needs are met, supporting both their academic and emotional growth.

DMESC/GFESC foster grandparents participated in the State Foster Grandparent Conference at DeGray Lodge State Park. The theme this year was Foster Grandparent Boot Camp. All 4 FGP programs in the state participated with 115 attendees. Eight different presenters from various co-ops, state offices, and schools presented training. Participants also enjoyed entertainment, bingo, fellowship, and great food.
