We work across 12 districts and often have limited interaction with each other throughout the school year. However, it's always a delightful surprise to bump into another specialist while on assignment in a district. If you happen to see Brian, be sure to ask about his new song titled 'Brian the Science Guy!'"

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month!
In honor of cyber safety, we are excited to announce a special contest aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness among our students and staff. The teacher who secures the highest number of completed CyberPatriot certifications will win an exclusive prize package!
How to Earn a CyberPatriot Certification:
Complete the CyberPatriot training program.
Achieve a score of 80% or higher on the CyberPatriot exam.
Upload your certificates to the Arkansas CyberPatriot database.
In addition, students have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours by helping elderly members of the community improve their cybersecurity awareness. It’s a great way to give back while boosting your own knowledge!
Let’s work together to boost our cybersecurity knowledge and make this month a success!
For more information about the program, visit the CyberGenerations website, or contact Tyra Hobson,
tyra.hobson@dmesc.org.

They participated in hands-on activities, including Lego algorithms and Pumpkin Programming, which they can implement in their classrooms. Additionally, teachers took part in a Raspberry Pi escape room, gaining inspiration for using Raspberry Pi devices that some will receive through an ADE grant.
