Math Specialist Job Requirements
Candidate must be a self-starter and team player. He/she must show strong examples of classroom instruction and classroom management. He/she should have evidence of instructional leadership (i.e., mentoring, model classroom or hosting of site-based observations, training, etc).
Qualifications
Mathematics Certification
A minimum of three years teaching experience
A Master degree
Candidate must have current training in mathematics practices
Knowledge of Arkansas State Standards
Knowledge of current research and effective practice in standards based curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the area of mathematics
Experience in adult learning situation and in team problem solving
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned
Mathematics specialists will coordinate schedules with the building principals in the DeQueen-Mena ESC region, work with other instructional facilitators in the district to accomplish district goals, and work directly with teachers to improve classroom instruction.
Design, conduct, and implement professional development based on best practices
Understand and disseminate current research
Assist teachers with planning, modeling, and co-teaching lessons and units
Model appropriate instructional strategies
Act as an instructional resource to the classroom teachers
Assist in creating, implementing, and evaluating instructional strategies
Integrate technology into the curriculum
Recommend resources to building principals
Assist in selection of standards-based instructional materials
Plan, organize, and assist in the development of curriculum and common grade level assessments
Align curriculum within schools and with state
Implement standards-based curriculum into classroom
Assist with state and local assessments
Evaluate assessment results, and incorporate strategies based on data disaggregation
Assist with PLC, RTI, and other processes in place in districts
This position is grant-funded through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and will remain open until filled.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator

Position Summary:
The DeQueen-Mena Education Service Cooperative is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator to support and advance CTE initiatives across its member school districts. This full-time, 240-day certified position is designed for an experienced educator with a passion for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in workforce readiness education. The CTE Coordinator will work closely with district personnel, the Division of Career and Technical Education (DCTE), and other state and regional partners to promote high-quality CTE programming and professional learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, technical assistance, and professional development for member districts regarding CTE initiatives, programs of study, and Perkins V compliance.
Assist schools with grant writing, budgeting, and management of CTE-related funds.
Coordinate CTE professional development events aligned with state and regional workforce needs.
Serve as a liaison between member districts and the Arkansas Division of Career and Technical Education.
Collaborate with other Education Service Cooperatives and state organizations to promote best practices in CTE.
Support school districts in aligning CTE pathways with student interests, workforce demands, and postsecondary goals.
Assist in data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement of CTE programs.
Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree required from an accredited college or university.
Valid Arkansas educator license.
Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience, with preference given to candidates with experience teaching Career and Technical Education courses.
Demonstrated knowledge of CTE program structures, funding streams, and state and federal regulations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with technology and digital tools used in program management and communication.
