Jeff Killingsworth and Krissy Cross will be presenting the upcoming series of ACT 504 meetings at all cooperatives over the next three months. These meetings are for school tech coordinators and any team members who would like to attend. Each NIST control will be covered twice for your convenience, and it's recommended to attend one session per set of controls (you should attend at least 3 meetings). These meetings are in-person at designated Coops or virtually via DMESC watch parties.

Their support has empowered girls to participate in this student production contest, which promotes interest in non-traditional careers in manufacturing and construction. Stacey Southerland, the DMESC CTE Coordinator, has been pivotal in advancing this remarkable initiative. Now in its fourth year, the competition has grown into a state-level event involving ten educational cooperatives throughout Arkansas. DMESC will be hosting its event this Friday, February 7th!

Arkansas THRIVE is a collaborative project to support districts in efforts in developing and sustaining a Multi-Tiered System of Support, so students have access to the personalized academic, behavior, and mental health supports needed to be successful. DMESC hosted 37 educators for Days 1 and 2 this week. Days 3-5 will be held in February. Arkansas Behavior Support Specialists (Allison Mears and Connie Thomason) presented on Day 1 and A.W.A.R.E. presented on Day 2.
