This past week Oden Preschool enjoyed lots of reading and activities in celebration of Dr. Seuss Week! Our students loved having special guest readers and also enjoyed being guests of the elementary students.
A special thank you to Mrs. Bergum, Coach Kennedy, Jennifer Barrett, and Whitney Starr for helping make this week one to remember.
The love of reading truly begins early, and we are so thankful for those who help inspire it in our students.

The Umpire ABC Preschool students had an exciting Zoo Day! 🐍

Students staffed the tables and showcased their skills, interests, and career goals while employers rotated through to connect with them. 📚✨ Mount Ida ABC Preschool is kicking off Read Across America Week in the BEST way! ✨📚 We’ve been busy little readers! From voting on whether we like or dislike 🥚🍳 Green Eggs and Ham, to dressing up as our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, the fun has been nonstop! 🎩❤️We’ve also welcomed special guest readers, talked about ways we can do our part to take care of our Earth 🌎, and even planted sunflowers to watch kindness (and flowers!) grow!🌻💛

Foster Grandparents in the DMESC program were treated to training this month by Brian Schuller, the DMESC Science Specialist. Workshops were held at Guy Fenter Co-op in Branch, Cossatot in Nashville, and DMESC in Gillham. Brian presented various science activities that the grandparents could do with students in the classroom or their own grandkids at home.
