🎉 Ashdown Preschool celebrated Arkansas Children’s Week with a fun-filled lineup of activities!
Students enjoyed snowcones provided by Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. Sandy with Head Start, a special classroom read-aloud by Johnatvious Baker, and an exciting visit from a Millwood State Park Ranger who shared animal skulls and furs. The Cossatot River Rangers also stopped by with Betty the king snake and King Louis the rat snake, and the Kinders gave a special performance to top off the celebration! 👏🐍🍧📚

🔐 Technology Coordinators from cooperatives across the state recently participated in the CIRT (Cyber Incident Response Team) Conference, joining OST (Office of State Technology) and other technology professionals to work through a live cyber threat briefing and strengthen statewide readiness. The conference focused on cyber incident preparedness and on developing a new Cyber Incident Response Plan. Arkansas K-12 schools continue to lead the public sector in cybersecurity growth and maturity. 💻👏

Local Lead Captain Karen Garner had the opportunity to share a fun exciting book with the children at Precious Moments Childcare Center in Nashville. These children were excited to hear the story IF YOU GIVE A PIG A PARTY by Laura Numeroff. Garner was able to explain how it is important to help others in need, instead of always asking others to help you. These children learned some important social skills from this book and were eager to state ways of helping others. In honor of Arkansas Children’s Week…. Local Lead Captain Karen Garner was thrilled to share a special book with the preschool children at the Dierks ABC preschool. Garner chose a book that would teach these children the importance of STANDING TALL, SHARING A SMILE and ALWAYS DOING YOUR BEST! !! The Geometry Nexus is a collaborative multi-district collective designed to bridge the gap between "covering content" and achieving Level 3 ALD proficiency. Our mission is to unite regional Geometry educators in a shared PLC to align curriculum maps with state standards, deconstruct the specific rigor required for proficiency, and co-create a live Resource Vault of high-impact supplements. By breaking down district silos and pooling our expertise, our goal is to ensure every student has access to the rigorous, standard-aligned instruction necessary to master Geometry at the highest level.

Little Explorers Day 1: Bug Adventures & Creepy Crawlers
Arkansas Children’s Week kicked off today at Oden Preschool, and what a full (and fun!) day it has been! With the help of our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade helpers, our students jumped right into learning through hands-on exploration.
We started with a “Very Hungry Caterpillar” themed feast, followed by transforming into butterflies, a bug scavenger hunt, and even some rock painting. It was a day full of movement, imagination, and lots of outdoor learning.
We are off to a great start and looking forward to all the learning and fun the rest of the week will bring!

No words for how much we miss these two precious ladies. We lost Mrs. Victoria Phillips about 3 months ago, and now we have lost her sister, Mrs. Gracie McFadden. These two worked for the Foster Grandparent Program for many years and loved and cared for so many children at Nashville Pre School. Please remember their family in prayer as well as their preschool and foster grandparent families.
