Hard to believe it's been 40 years! In 1985, our member districts started a new school year with a brand new partner—Arkansas’s Education Service Cooperatives. This year marks four decades of supporting schools across the state thanks to Act 349 of 1985, which established fifteen cooperatives. DMESC is proud to be one of the original 15. Happy 40th birthday to us and all Arkansas co-ops! Here’s to many more years of service and support.

This school year has started with lots of fun with the FROG STREET curriculum. Local Leads Captain Karen Garner, was thrilled to provide this quality curriculum to several area providers of daycare/preschools. These providers were eager to present Fanny the FrogStreet puppet to the children. One of the goals of Local Leads is to ensure that every child is receiving a quality curriculum. Karen Garner stated that the mission of Local Leads is to have every child from birth to age 5 provided with high-quality interactions through curriculum. This mission is being completed as Local Leads continue to meet the needs of all children and are providing the BEST to help them succeed. LOCAL LEADS... meeting children where they are and helping them succeed.

ATLAS Assessment Recruitment for 25/26 Test Reviews
As you all know, the ability to create our own state assessment is something we have wanted for years, and we are beginning year three of having our own state test. Because building our own test is an ongoing process, the Assessment unit is continuing to build and update the bank of educators to use throughout the year for item review, bias review, data review, etc. We would love educators who have a strong knowledge of the standards and testing in general. We need specialists, IFs, teachers, administration, coop educators, etc.
