ARKANSAS PROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR PATHWAY (ARPEP) is an affordable two-year, work-based, alternative certification program that the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education administers. Literacy coaches provide direct coaching, observation, information about student progress, and feedback to teachers in K-3 classrooms and support school leaders in implementing the Science of Reading and improving literacy school-wide.

The DMESC educators participated in a workshop focused on the solar eclipse. This workshop was part of the Statewide Solar Eclipse Data Collection project, which was a collaboration between the ADE Office of Computer Science, the University of Central Arkansas, and Science Specialists from education cooperatives. The educators who attended the workshop received specialized training and equipment to monitor light and temperature levels during the solar eclipse, which will take place on April 8th, 2024. #thinkcoop1st We Serve and Support our Schools so that ALL Students Succeed
