Benny Weston, Dana Ray and Beau McCastlain from DMESC were honored to be invited as educational partners to the Caddo Academy stakeholders event on Sept. 26th. DMESC, along with representatives from DESE, AAEA and area industry partners, toured the campus, heard from program leaders and a student panel about the impact Caddo Academy is having on students lives and futures. It was a great event!

✅ All Things CTE: Professional Development Recap
DMESC CTE educators explored important updates from the Arkansas Department of Career & Technical Education (DCTE). Topics included the 2025–2028 Pathway Revisions, the Success Ready Pathways framework for Diplomas of Merit and Distinction, and updated lists of High-Demand/High-Wage (H2) and Industry-Recognized Credentials for the 2025–2026 school year.
We also reviewed key resources on the DCTE Pathways and DCTE Home pages to help districts align programs, strengthen credentials, and ensure every student graduates Success Ready — prepared for enrollment, employment, or enlistment.
📂 CTE Educators left with tools, documents, and strategies to take back to their schools and students!

🌟 What a fantastic day at the DMESC LMS Forum Fall Meeting hosted by Horatio! 📚
We kicked off the day with a tour of Mrs. Allen’s high school library, then chauffeured to Mrs. Kendra’s elementary library, soaking in all their innovative ideas.
Cassandra Barnett, DESE Program Advisor for School Libraries, joined us via Zoom to share valuable updates on library law. 📖✨
We also had a great session with Tyra Hobson, who provided us with essential digital citizenship resources just in time for October’s upcoming Cybersecurity Awareness Month and Digital Citizenship Week.🛡️ Mrs. Stone introduced us to the book, “The Camel Library”. The day wrapped up with engaging grade-level collaboration groups, sparking ideas, and fostering teamwork! 💡
A special shoutout to Mrs. Glasgow and Mrs. Stancil's students for providing our book-themed trinkets. #yourBESTsolution#thinkcoop1st

We’re thrilled to announce the winner of our Early Childhood hashtags contest! 🎉 A big shout-out to Reina Anderson, our talented Foreman Infant and Toddler teacher, for her brilliant contributions: #LittleStepsBigFuture and #BuildingBrightFutures!
In addition to our new hashtags, we are also debuting our fresh logo design that beautifully combines the colors of DMESC with HIPPY's vibrant orange and Local Leads blue. And, of course, we had to incorporate “Miami” flamingo pink in there somewhere! (IYKYK) This new look embodies our commitment to nurturing growth and potential in every DMESC child .💖✨
