Nelda Scoggins, Volunteer Coordinator

Nelda Scoggins

Hello, my name is Nelda Scoggins. I am the Foster Grandparent Volunteer Coordinator for the Dequeen-Mena Educational Service Cooperative and the Guy Fenter Educational Service Cooperative. I have been a part of the program going on 18 years. My background
is in education is teaching grades K-12. The unusual thing about me is that I have taught in six different states. The last being in Arkansas. I accepted a job with Altus-Denning School System to teach lower grades, later the Librarian, then the Gifted and Talented K-12, and last the principal. I love working with children, therefore, I love my job.

I am married living with my husband in Ozark, Arkansas. We have three grown children, one daughter, and two sons. They have given us the best gift of all, our four grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
